"Inherent Vice" - travel back to Los Angeles in 1970 and witness drug-addled detective Doc Sportello (Joaquin Phoenix) learn of one kidnapping plot and ends up investigating another - based on the novel by Thomas Pynchon - National Board of Review Award Winner for Best Adapted Screenplay (Paul Thomas Anderson, also the director) - Robert Altman Independent Spirit Award Winner for Best Ensemble Cast including Josh Brolin, Benicio Del Toro, Eric Roberts, Maya Rudolph, Owen Wilson and Reese Witherspoon



"Ken Burns Presents Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies" - as seen on PBS - Siddhartha Mukherjee's acclaimed book is the launch pad for this series that canvasses the history of the disease, contemporary stories of those dealing with forms of cancer and the scientific advances bent on eliminating them - the final narration triumph of actor Edward Herrmann, who died after completing this task of terminal brain cancer on December 31, 2014




"Masterpiece: Wolf Hall" -  as seen on PBS - King Henry VIII (Damian Lewis, TV's "Homeland") wants to ensure a male heir by annulling his first marriage and marrying Anne Boleyn - the only person who can help insure a bloodless outcome and control the erratic King is his secretary, Thomas Cromwell (Mark Rylance, "The Other Boleyn Girl") - based on the acclaimed historical novel by Hilary Mantel



"Murder in Suburbia: Complete Collection" - meet "Ash and Scribbs," a female inspector/sergeant team investigating murders in a suburban English community - stars Caroline Catz (TV's "DCI Banks") and Lisa Faulkner ("New City Law")





"The Wedding Ringer" - socially-challenged Doug (Josh Gad, "Frozen") is about to marry dream girl Gretchen (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, TV's "Big Bang Theory) but has no best man - enter Jimmy (Kevin Hart, "Ride Along") and the ensuing chaos!
